About Me
"I was born and raised in Catania, Sicily, Italy. After graduating with a Bachelor of Art in media and communication studies, I decided to open up my own Advertising company in Sicily named 095mm. Few years later, I felt my career as a video editor needed a big turn, so I decided to leave Italy and move to New York City. Shortly after arriving in the U.S., I was hired by Thin Edge Films to be the senior editor on "Thirsty", a musical film directed by Margo Pelletier and produced by Lisa Thomas. To this day, I still collaborate with the studio, working as a video editor for features, short films, and music videos.
Most of the projects I edited have had the honour of getting nominations and winning awards across the USA, Canada and Europe. As an experienced film editor, I have the privilege of collaborating with many of my colleagues, bringing to the table my creative and passionate style of work and being rewarded by their trust and continuous interest in partnership. Currently, I am living between Europe and the United States, where, besides working as an editor, I also share my knowledge and expertise working as a post-production instructor at the New York Film Academy to BFA and MFA students. As a foreigner in the United States, I faced the added challenge of building a network and making a name for myself in the competitive film industry. However, I was determined to succeed and worked tirelessly to hone my skills and make connections. Through dedication and hard work, I was able to break through the barriers and become recognized for my talents and contributions to the industry. My ability to navigate the obstacles and make a name for myself is a testament to my perseverance and passion for the craft."
